Desktop and mobile app makes NFPA 285 designs a snap

Specifying wall assembly options that pass the NFPA 285 burn test is a snap now thanks to a new app released by Carlisle Coatings and Waterproofing (CCW).

The “R2+ NFPA 285 Build-A-Wall App” was developed by CCW to help design professionals choose from more than 700 wall assembly options that exceed the highest energy efficiency requirements and comply with building code fire safety provisions.

The interactive app leads users through a five-step process of choosing common wall components including base wall types, exterior finishes, insulation products and membrane air barriers.  Once the assembly is complete, users can print and share a data sheet which can be used as a project spec to build energy-efficient, high-performing wall assemblies that pass NFPA 285.

The desktop “R2+ NFPA 285 Build-A-Wall App” is available here. The app is also available on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon. Search for “Carlisle Construction” and select the app “Carlisle R2+ NFPA 285 Guide”. The download is free.
